RTS Award

joe tidy rts awardIn 2011 Joe was awarded the Royal Television Society Award for Best Newcomer to TV News in the South. The award was presented by BBC South Today‘s Sally Taylor and ITV Meridian’s Fred Dinenage at Winchester Guild Hall in February.

This feature was included in the award winning entry. It was shot, edited and produced by Joe: On the trail of Oxford’s Ghosts – BBC South Today (Oxford)

Joe also won a number of national awards as a student for reporting and producing student TV news. He won the National Association of Student Television Award (NaSTA) for Best News Programme in 2007, followed by awards for a live rugby programme he lead and directed.
